Emmy, Tony & NAACP award-winning actor Billy Porter will be making his feature film directorial debut telling a Trans rom-com, titled "Anything's Possible". The $10 million movie was shot in just 25 days in various locations in and around Porter's hometown of Pittsburgh. The film will launch globally on July 22nd exclusively on Amazon Prime Video.
The trans coming of age dramedy follows trans high school senior Kelsa (played by trans actress newcomer Eva Reign), who begins navigating dating and her first boyfriend, Khal (Abubakr Ali).
“This is an aspirational story. It’s almost like a fairytale,” Porter told Variety. “We know that. It’s a look at what we can be. That’s what we as artists get to do — look at what we can be and what we should be.”
Billy Porter recently took to Instagram to share that he'll be previewing an exclusive clip of the movie during his hometown live performance at Pittsburgh Pride.
"On Friday (June 3) I’ll be appearing live at Stage AE at Pride on the Shore and I’ll be sharing an exclusive clip of the trailer for “Anything’s Possible,” my film directorial debut."
Now, this is what we want to see!
