Jussie Smollett Vacaying with Family, Chicago Sues Jussie for Investigation Costs

Daily Mail

Empire cast member Jussie Smollett was spotted by TMZ yesterday evening on vacation with his family in Hawaii. It seems as if he was spending some nice quality time with his niece, nephew, sisters, and his brother-in-law. Last month, Jussie Smollett's charges were dropped as long as he did community service and paid a $10,000 fine. So how can you blame the man for wanting to enjoy a different scenery and his family without all of the negativity? But, the city of Chicago is still pressing Jussie Smollett about paying $131,000 for the cost of the police probe for the alleged attack on Jan. 29th.

As you all know, Jussie was charged with 16 felony counts of lying to the police about getting attacked by white, racist homophobic trump supporters. The Chicago Police Department claims that Jussie allegedly paid Abel and Osa Osundairo, his two personal trainers, to attack him. This case alone was a talk all over social media. Some people believe that Jussie might have paid the two men to attack him, while others believe that he was attacked due to the fact that he is a black gay man.

State Attorney Kim Foxx was in charge of Jussie Smollett's case and people believe that his case may have been compromised due to them dropping all 16 felony charges against him. Trust me when I say, they are grilling Ms. Foxx about this case. Chicago PD has even voted to have Ms. Foxx investigated over her decision to drop all of Jussie's felony charges. The city of Chicago isn't playing around nor are they easing up about the decision that has been made.

Even though Jussie will not face jail time, the city of Chicago wants retribution from Jussie for "wasting their time" on a case that they believed never happened. So do you think Jussie should pay the city of Chicago because of his case or he should counter sue Chicago PD for continuing to investigate after the charges has been dropped?
