Celebrity hairstylist Kellon Deryck recently posted in his Instagram detailing how he created one of the looks for Megan Thee Stallion's "Cry Baby" video, which premiered yesterday (February 3rd).
In the caption he explained “I created the vibrant flowers on Megan Thee Stallion’s Barbie inspired look by making flower stencils in multiple sizes to use as a guide, then hand painting using @guytan_mydentity color.
I let the color air dry to preserve brightness, then finished the look with the @guytnag_myidentity #MyStardust shine spray to really enhance the vibrancy of the colors and #MayContorl hairspray for flexible, but strong hold.”
Deryck also designed the other styles that Stallion sports in the video, such as the baby blue bundles and her flowered hair piece she wears through the video.
Kellon Deryck has worked with many artists before, such as Missy Elliot for the cover of her album "Iconolgy" and the cover of Billboard magazine with the duo city girls, but his most frequent have been with Megan Thee Stallion. The two have been growing very close, she recently posted a behind the scenes photo of the two of them from her shoot for "Cry Baby" with the caption " Twinsies".
