Lil’ Kim & Durand Bernarr to Headline AIDS Walk Atlanta Fundraiser and Festival

Entertainment News | Music

Atlanta is set to host one of its most anticipated annual events, the 33rd AIDS Walk Atlanta Music Festival and 5K Run, on Saturday, September 28th, 2024, at Piedmont Park.

This year’s lineup promises an electrifying fusion of music and activism, with artist Durand Bernarr and legendary rapper Lil' Kim taking the stage as headliners. The event, presented by AHF Pharmacy, brings together thousands to raise awareness and funds for the ongoing fight against HIV and AIDS.

Lil’ Kim, a hip-hop icon known for her trailblazing career, will use her platform once again to shine a spotlight on this critical cause. Having previously headlined AHF’s Florida AIDS Walk in 2021, Lil' Kim's return to support HIV/AIDS initiatives continues to inspire. Sharing the stage is the multitalented singer, and songwriter Durand Bernarr, whose genre-defying style and viral performances have garnered him a devoted fanbase.

Beyond the entertainment, the AIDS Walk Atlanta event plays a vital role in raising more than $1 million annually to benefit 13 local HIV/AIDS service organizations. Past performances have featured major artists like Ashanti, Ludacris, Monica, and Wale, but this year’s combination of Bernarr’s modern artistry and Lil’ Kim’s legendary status is sure to make this one of the most memorable festivals yet.

“This annual event offers a time to create greater awareness of the impact of HIV and AIDS on the local Atlanta community, as well as an opportunity to bring together thousands from across the region to raise critical funds for these 13 worthy organizations,” said Dr. Felicia Ivey, AHF Atlanta’s regional director.

The event will kick off with a 5K walk/run through Midtown Atlanta’s historic streets before transitioning into an afternoon of powerful performances in Piedmont Park. With the AIDS Healthcare Foundation (AHF), the world’s largest nonprofit HIV/AIDS healthcare organization, leading the charge, participants will come together not only to enjoy great music but to support a cause that affects millions worldwide.
