Mariah Carey and Megan Thee Stallion Announced as Headliners for LA Pride

Entertainment News | Pride

Hotties and Lambs rejoice! Mariah Carey and Megan Thee Stallion are set to headline this year's Pride in the Park festival in Los Angeles, organizers announced Tuesday.

This year the multi-stage event is set to expand to two days, June 9 and 10. Performers other than the headliners are expected to be announced soon.

The festival, which will be held at Los Angeles State Historic Park, has a capacity set for 25,000 attendees.

In addition to performances, this year's festival’s theme is “All out with Pride” and is set to honor the Christopher Street West Association, a non-profit that has helped produce the LA Pride celebration since June 1970.

Carey took to Twitter to celebrate the announcement saying “I’m thrilled and honored to be a part of LA Pride 2023! I am happy to be back in person celebrating with the LGBTQIA+ community here in Southern California and throughout all of the land!!! Let’s come together to celebrate love, inclusion, and Pride. #ALLOUTWITHPRIDE

In addition to Carey, Meg The Stallion released a statement saying, “I can't wait to headline LA Pride in the Park and celebrate the phenomenal LGBTQIA+ community," she said. "This incredible event advocates for diversity, inclusivity, and equality, so I'm honored to perform and have a blast with all of the Hotties in attendance."

LA Pride President Gerald Garth took to Instagram following the announcement saying, “As president of @lapride, I’m excited to have two of my all-time favorites and icons, @mariahcarey and @theestallion for LA Pride 2023! Y’all know I been a Lamb and a Stallion my whole life. Cheers to the amazing team, partners, and friends! We’re just getting started! Get your tickets today!"
