Gayes! It appears that comedian Marlon Wayans isn’t feeling Elon Musk’s decision to disown his transgender child.
During his recent sit down on the Club Shay Shay podcast Wayans tore into the Tesla owner for his public disapproval over daughter Vivian Jenna Wilson being transgender.
“I don’t like what he be saying about his trans child," Wayans shared with host Shannon Sharpe. "You don’t treat them babies like that, you don’t disown your baby. Love your child!” he continued.
Wayans, whose son, Kai, identifies as trans, compared Musk's lack of acceptance to his family's remarks when his son Kai began to transition. He went on to share his child coming out as transgender was a learning process but he quickly learned to accept him.

“But as hard as it was, I think that it’s not important. It’s important what you went through; the five steps of grief, but I think it’s important that you get to acceptance," he said. "And I’m proud to say it took me a week – but it felt like forever.”
He continued saying. “l’m sad to say some parents, some family members, and some people it’ll take them a lifetime," Wayans continued. “They’ll never get to that magical place that I’m at which is just acceptance. Still my child. That’s my baby.”
While Wayans found the path to acceptance of his transgender child, Musk has publicly struggled to do so.
Wilson is one of six children (five living) Musk had during his marriage with Canadian Justine Wilson.
When Vivian turned 18 in April 2022, she filed a petition in Los Angeles County Superior Court to adopt her current name and be legally recognized as female.
In the filing, she said, "I no longer live with or wish to be related to my biological father in any way, shape, or form." In June 2022, her name and gender change were granted.
In July, Musk told the Daily Wire’s Jordan Peterson his daughter's gender affirming care “killed” his daughter while misgendering her repeatedly.
Musk also claimed that when his daughter began the process of transitioning, he “was essentially tricked into signing documents" before he "had really any understanding of what was going on," citing COVID-19 confusion as the reason he signed the documents.
Musk also claimed that doctors told him his daughter "might commit suicide" if she was prevented from receiving care.
Wilson fired back at her father's comments reflecting on her childhood in an interview with NBC calling his treatment of her "cruel". She then went on to describe him as a person who was “uncaring and narcissistic” and a person who grew "very quick to anger,”.
She also revealed Musk would often berate her with screams for acting femininely, claiming that "he was constantly yelling at me viciously because my voice was too high. It was cruel.”
Wilson continued, addressing her Father’s absence during her formative years. "He was there, I want to say, maybe 10 percent of the time. That’s generous. He had half custody, and he fully was not there. It was just a fact of life at the time, so I don’t think I realized just how abnormal of an experience it was."
