Award-winning comedian and radio personality Miss Sophia and Global Black Pride are set to host the “Love and Legacy Pride Fundraiser,” on Friday, July 19, 2024, from 6:30 - 10 p.m.
The prestigious event is set to celebrate the rich cultural heritage and shared legacy of the Black LGBTQIA+ community. will be held at a private mansion in Brookhaven, with the location to be revealed upon RSVP confirmation.
The fundraiser promises an unforgettable night of celebration, connection, and community.
Attendees can expect a "Casino Royale" themed evening with a Vegas-style experience with casino games, raffles, and a silent auction, all designed to create an atmosphere of fun and philanthropy.
In addition to its Vegas-style experience attendees can anticipate unique live entertainment from Miss Sophia, cuisine, and inspiring stories that highlight the resilience and vibrancy of the Black LGBTQIA+ community.
The event will also fund-raise and support the upcoming Atlanta Black Pride Weekend initiatives and programs next month.
As previously reported Global Black Pride declared Atlanta as the host city for its 2024 event, marking a historic first for the United States. The week-long celebration, slated to run from August 26 to September 2, and will include festivities, activism, and a vibrant showcase of Black LGBTQ+ culture and heritage.
Global Black Pride stands as the premier Pride event exclusively dedicated to celebrating and uplifting Black LGBTQ+ communities worldwide. This year's event promises to amplify the voices, experiences, and achievements of Black LGBTQI+ individuals on an unprecedented scale, offering a platform for unity, visibility, and advocacy.
Funds raised from this event will also go towards the Pure Heat Community Festival and The Annual Youth Festival, both taking place on Sunday, September 1 at Piedmont Park.
