Monster High Releases RuPaul Dragon Queen Collector Doll & Donates to LGBTQ+ Youth & Homelessness Organization

The Queen of Drag RuPaul has joined forces with Mattel's Monster High brand for a special collectors doll made in his likeness. 


As a part of their collaboration, Monster High’s children's mental health program Project Belonging,  is set to make a donation to the Ali Forney Center, a non-profit organization that aims to prevent homelessness and provides resources to LGBTQ+ kids and families. 





Standing at 14 inches tall The RuPaul Dragon Queen Skullector doll dawns a shimmering floor-length gown and knee-high boots. A sky-grazing headdress with wings, and black and white dragon arm cuff. 


In a statement, RuPaul expressed his excitement for the doll's release. 


“It’s time my darlings — are you ready to unleash the goddess within?” he said. “I’m thrilled you all get to finally see this fierce Dragon Queen come to life. 


He continued saying: “It’s an honor to have a Monster High doll made in my likeness and support a brand that has always stood by self-love. I hope this doll is a reminder to everyone to not only be yourself but to let it shine!”





Krista Berger, senior vice president of Barbie and global head of dolls at Mattel said in a statement, “RuPaul is an icon who is never afraid to challenge the norm and stay true to himself – embodying the Monster High brand ethos of be yourself, be unique, and be a monster."


“RuPaul’s work has profoundly impacted representation in television and culture. We’re proud to team up with him to introduce this brand new character inspired by his legacy, the Dragon Queen, to the world of Monster High.”


The Monster High RuPaul Dragon Queen doll retails for $55 and is available for purchase on the official Monster High website or Amazon.
