Popular Drag Queen Chi Chi DeVayne Passes at 34 of Rare Condition

It's with a heavy heart that we say goodbye to a true queen, Chi Chi DeVayne. Born Zavion Davenport, Chi Chi suffered from an auto-immune disorder called scleroderma. This is a rare, potentially life-threatening condition caused by the immune system attacking the tissue under the skin, around internal organs and blood vessels.

Chi Chi recently recovered from a kidney failure attributed to disease in July. She was again rushed to the hospital in August for pneumonia where she posted a tweet asking for prayers. Drag Race's production company "World of Wonder" announced that Chi Chi died on August 20th, just days after his post.

DeVayne shot to stardom after entering in the all popular Ru Paul's Drag Race for Season 8 and All Stars Season 3. Despite difficulties and funds, Chi Chi rose to place fourth in the season. We were all left with memorable experience's of his charisma, personality and overall brilliance. We will miss Chi Chi dearly.
