Award season is in full swing, and all the stars have come out to show out. This past Monday, The National Academy of Arts & Sciences Emmy Awards (NATAS) just announced the presenters for the 48th Annual Daytime Emmy Awards. From 2020 alone, the NATAS received over 3,000 submissions from various programs that were judged by some of today’s biggest film industry giants.
Of course, the last half of the Emmys will feature more great shows as well as. Although, all the attention will be on the star-studded hosts. This weekend, Raven Symone and comedian Loni Love will host the Daytime Emmy Children’s & Animation and the Fiction & Lifestyle Awards. By both being extremely talented entertainers, it’s for certain they’ll kill the awards show.
Obviously, not every celebrity can handle the task of hosting a huge awards show like the Emmys. Afterall, the awards show has honored the best television has to offer since 1974. The Emmys presents awards to shows that broadcast between the timeframe of 2am to 6pm.
More importantly, they recognize the achievements of children’s programs, as well as shows on streaming services like Hulu and Netflix. With so much great content out there, it seems impossible to choose which shows will take home an award.

Though, Raven Symone seems up for the task. At 35-years-old, the entertainer has an impressive resume, from acting, to singing and songwriting. Clearly, she’s a well-rounded artist and has spent years in front of the spotlight. Not to mention, she’s starred in arguably some of the best tv shows such as the Disney series That’s So Raven.
Having spent most of her life in front of the spotlight, Raven-Symone knows what makes a great children’s show. The executives and producers of the show clearly thought the same thing after recruiting Raven-Symone as the host for the Daytime Emmy Children’s & Animation Award. It’s no wonder VH1 hailed her as the one of Greatest Child Stars on TV in 2012.
However, Raven-Symone won’t be the only star set to host the Emmy’s ceremony, as for comedian Loni Love will be joining her. Not only has the comedian and talk show host hosted the Emmys once, but this year will be her second time. Having worked behind the scenes, to doing stand-up comedy and now the talk show host of one of the hottest Daytime shows on tv right now, Loni Love has earned her seat at the table.
Love will be joined by several other presenters, who include boxing world champion and lifestyle personality Laila Ali, Telemundo’s Francisco Hernández Cáceres, A House Divided’s Lawrence Hilton-Jacobs and Dash & Lily’s Jodi Long. Along with a string of great presenters and a stellar host, sources believe that Sunday’s ceremony will be the most competitive. Most of the ceremony will “feature the digital drama categories, leaving many soap opera notables competing for the gold.”
By this being an awards show all about tv shows, there’s bound to be tons of “drama” happening anyways. Fans can catch the The Real hosting the latter half of the Emmy’s on Sunday July 18 at 8pm ET/5pm PT. Again, audiences can catch all the action on the Emmy’s OTT streaming service.
