Renowned dance choreographer Sean Bankhead congratulated Normani for her “Best Dance Performance” win for Wild Side at BET’s 2021 Soul Train Awards, which aired Sunday night.
Bankhead took to his Instagram Story earlier today and shared, “I’ve had a wonderful career thus far. And I have had many nominations for my choreography. Well, last night was the first time my choreography actually WON!”
He continued, “I kind of gave up looking forward to nominations or wins and just felt satisfied that at least I was being seen. With that said. Thank you Soul Train for giving a project I choreographed my first win!”
Bankhead finished by congratulating Normani, stating that he was “honored” to have helped her gain the accomplishment.
He later thanked his assistant Ahsia Janae and gave well deserved flowers to all of the dance artists who “worked tirelessly for two months and three days” to make the video “flawless”.
