The Game Shares His Thoughts on Dwyane Wade Supporting His Transgender Child

Rapper The Game is officially a known ally of the LGBT community! But let's not get too excited because a man supporting and loving their child regardless of their sexuality is simply the fatherly thing to do.

We previously reported that Dwyane Wade's 12-year-old child Zion is transgender and has decided to change their name to Zaya. In an interview on the Ellen Show he explained that his 12-year-old, sat he and his wife, Gabrielle Union, down and said, "I would like to start, "living my truth" and that the pronouns "she" and "her" should be used and wanted to be called Zaya.

As expected, after Dwyane's announcement many people on social media expressed their opinions on his decision to support Zaya's transition. Many have shown enormous support, but some expressed the complete opposite, so much so that Dwyane's daughter Zaya made a video addressing the backlash.

The Game recently took to social media to commend Dwyane Wade for supporting his child's transition, saying, "As a parent, as a father, that is fu*king amazing because your supposed to support whatever it is your children choose to do, choose to be in life, that's a real father."

In the video, Game reflects on his previous mindset about raising a child who is gay.

"When i was younger, in my 20s, i used to say 'If my son gay imma disown him, imma do this, imma do that, but then as you have more children and as you get older and you get wise, you start to understand fatherhood is bigger than being an idiot."
