Josie Totah, who was formerly a star on Disney Channel's "Jessie", has scored herself a lead role on the brand new "Saved By The Bell" reboot.
Totah will play, Lexi, a cheerleader "who is both loved and feared" by fellow students of Bayside High. She will be starring in the series alongside Elizabeth Berkley and Mario Lopez, who will be returning from the original 90's series. They will also be reprising their roles as A.C. Slater and Jessie Spano respectively and serving as producers.
This will be Totah's first starring role as a female character in a sitcom since she came out as transgender in 2018. Totah has had roles in, "Champions", "No Good Nick", "Glee", and "Spider-Man: Homecoming", and she can now add this to her resume.
The reboot of 'Saved By The Bell' is apart of the new streaming service that will be launched in April of this year called, "Peacock". But the official launch date of the service or premiere of the show has not been announced by NBC.
